The Japanese Garden in Gyula was envisioned by the Friends of the Japanese Garden Association and was constructed in the backyard of the János Mogyoróssy Library. The garden, designed by a Japanese garden landscape professional, Zoltán Dani, can be accessed through a so-called Torii Gate, and features a grey gravel path with stone benches and Japanese stone lanterns. The garden, which is situated in an enclosed area, will be open to the public beyond the library’s opening hours, as well, via a side and a back gate, said János Dézsi, director of the library.
