In the middle of a round forest of the Körös Rivers Valley, in the seemingly endless expanse of the unmistakable lowland landscape the striking Vásárhelyi-Bréda Castle stands majestically in undisturbed silence. The meticulously restored building, located in Lőkösháza, and its magnificent, Mediterranean-style park offer unique and special programmes. The castle was built around 1806 in the Neoclassical style by János Vásárhelyi, the deputy governor of Arad-Csanád county.

After more than 200 years of its existence and a troubled history, time has taken a toll on the building and the surrounding park. However, it was salvaged from permanent ruin, and after extensive renovation, it is now an exhibition space and visitor centre covering almost 500 square metres within its period walls. An interesting and educational presentation of the restoration of the building, its space and its history can be seen on site and it will certainly impress visitors.
The main attraction of the castle, the only one of its kind in Europe, is an outdoor 3-D projection on the facade of the building that is turned on every evening after sunset.

The castle is equipped with modern technology, such as an audio guide in 5 languages, which includes a presentation in English.
